Cucumber Mist
Cucumber extract, spirulina green, a pressed rustic surface.
Cucumber extract replaces almost all of the water. Spirulina gives the green and cucumber powder the texture. The bar is pressed by hand with a deliberately rustic surface and finished with slices of dehydrated cucumber.

Keep it on a draining dish. A cold-process bar left sitting in water softens and will not last the way it should. The dried slices on top are decorative. The rough surface is part of the design.

Process
Cucumber extract stands in for the water in the recipe. Spirulina carries the green, with eucalyptus and palo santo for the scent. The bar is pressed by hand rather than poured, which is what gives it the rough surface, and it is finished with dehydrated cucumber slices.

Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Lard, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter, Sodium Hydroxide†, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Fragrance (Parfum), Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Powder, Sodium Lactate, Spirulina Platensis Powder, Stearic Acid, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
† Sodium hydroxide is the alkali that turns oils into soap. None remains in the finished bar.
Warnings
- Patch test before first use, even on a gentle bar: work a little lather onto the inside of your forearm, rinse, and leave it 24 hours. If any redness, itching or stinging appears, stop and do not use the bar. Every skin is different.
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
- Keep out of reach of children.
