NovaFusion

Our Story

I am Diana Solano. NovaFusion started in my kitchen, looking for something that would work for my two children.

My daughter and my son both have sensitive skin. We went through soap after soap, brand after brand, and none of them sat well with them. I would read the labels and find long lists of ingredients I did not recognise. One day I stopped looking in the supermarket and decided to make it myself.

That is where NovaFusion comes from: bars made by hand, with few ingredients, every one of them named on the label. No SLS, no parabens. If I do not understand it, it does not go in the pot.

Then came the butters

My son, the older of the two, is an athlete and started getting dryness on his legs. Working from the same idea — simple things, nothing extra — I formulated my own body butters: made for delicate skin, but moisturising, so they would actually be useful to him. The lip balms grew out of that too, and we are making those now, just as natural.

And a niece on the way

A baby girl is joining the family soon, and with her a separate line: fragrance-free, with a higher superfat so the bar comes out milder, and the shortest ingredient list I know how to make. It is the line for the most delicate skin in the house, newborn to grown-up.

It all comes down to the same thing: NovaFusion is a company built around what my own family needed. If it works for them, I make it. If it does not, I do not.

How it is made

I work in cold process, the traditional method: oils and lye are combined by hand, poured into the mould, and the bar cures for at least four weeks before it leaves the workshop. That time is what makes it last and gives the lather its density.

Every batch is small. Colours vary a little from one to the next, a scent sometimes sells out, and the person who made your bar is me.

I also make natural soy candles and massage candles. Those came later — for the pleasure of it, not out of need.
