Notes on the bar
Keep it on a draining dish. A cold-process bar left sitting in water softens and will not last the way it should.
- Scent

Oatmeal, milk and honey
A soft, warm, bakery-like scent with very little sharpness to it. Carried by a cosmetic fragrance oil, not an essential oil.
- Texture

Rustic surface, smooth bar
Ground colloidal oats are fine enough to disappear into the bar rather than scratch. The lather is dense and slow rather than foamy.

Olive, shea and avocado
Shea butter and avocado oil give this one its body. Powdered goat milk and liquid honey go in as additives, which is why this bar is not vegan.

Cold process, small batch, cured a minimum of four weeks before it leaves the workshop.

Process
Cold process. Colloidal oats, powdered goat milk and honey over a base of olive oil, shea butter and avocado. No colourant: the warm tone is the oats and the honey themselves.

Ingredients
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Water (Aqua), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sodium Hydroxide†, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Fragrance (Parfum), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Goat Milk Powder, Honey (Mel), Sodium Lactate, Kaolin.
† Sodium hydroxide is the alkali that turns oils into soap. None remains in the finished bar.
Warnings
- Patch test before first use, even on a gentle bar: work a little lather onto the inside of your forearm, rinse, and leave it 24 hours. If any redness, itching or stinging appears, stop and do not use the bar. Every skin is different.
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- If you have known fragrance or ingredient sensitivities, review the list above before use.
