The make-up
Notes on the bar
Keep it on a draining dish. A cold-process bar left sitting in water softens and will not last the way it should. Activated charcoal is a natural pigment: you may see its grey on a light cloth while you wash, and it rinses straight out. It does not stain.

The firmest bar NovaFusion makes. The charcoal is a pigment here, not a scrub — the surface is smooth, not gritty.

How this batch is made
Process
Cold process. Cocoa butter and stearic acid make a firm bar with a bold masculine fragrance. Activated charcoal and titanium dioxide are swirled together in the mould — black against white, and no two bars alike.

Ingredients
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Water (Aqua), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Lard, Sodium Hydroxide†, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Fragrance (Parfum), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Stearic Acid, Charcoal Powder, Sodium Lactate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Kaolin.
† Sodium hydroxide is the alkali that turns oils into soap. None remains in the finished bar.
Warnings
- Patch test before first use, even on a gentle bar: work a little lather onto the inside of your forearm, rinse, and leave it 24 hours. If any redness, itching or stinging appears, stop and do not use the bar. Every skin is different.
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
- Keep out of reach of children.
